Hello, happy new year, and welcome to my travel blog! I’m Robin from Michigan, and I’ll be sharing my traveling experience here; the good, the bad, and the ugly. This year, I plan to write about a couple previous trips, along with all my trips from this year. First, let me tell you a bit about myself.
I love the outdoors, so a lot of my travels will be based in the great wilderness. I also know that no one’s looking for a travel article about a place to find the best fast food restaurant in the area, so I always make sure I visit local restaurants in a town, along with some local stores if I’m staying somewhere a weekend, though, in all honesty, it doesn’t really have anything to do with recommending places, but simply that you can’t get a good steak and cute local trinkets from McDonald’s and Walmart!
My other hobbies include crocheting, spending time with my horse, reading, and writing. I hope to have my first novel sent to a publisher by the end of the year, though we’ll have to see, it’s definitely a work in progress. I hope to one day run my own horse ranch, though I’ll definitely have to save up a lot of money for that.
My first articles on here will be detailing the Winter Wonderland Weekend my friend and I go on every year. We’ve only gone twice so far, but my first article will be about our Petoskey trip in 2023, and my second will be about our St. Ignace/Mackinac Island trip from just last month. I already have more places planned for future years, so you’ll have to stick around and see where those are!
My next articles will be about my road trip from August 2023. You’ll be able to read about Horseshoe Falls in Munising, the St. Louis Arch, the Omaha Zoo, the Frontier Village/National Buffalo Museum, and Sault Ste. Marie.
I already have several trips planned for this year, such as a return to Mackinac Island in the warmer months, a trip to the UK in March or April, the possibility of another big road trip in May, and, of course, the Winter Wonderland Weekend. I look forward to not only experiencing those adventures but also getting to write about them for you all to read them!
As a disclaimer, I want it to be known that I will never share specific locations I will be at during specific times, for my own safety. I will only write about specific times and places after they have already occurred, and I am no longer near that location.
I look forward to adventuring alongside all of you and I hope you enjoy hearing all about Robin’s Travels!
